Some Key Accountabilities of the role:

• No prior experience needed, just need to have the right attitude
• Be an enthusiastic person that will share our values, and is passionate about working towards people’s with disabilities needs and goals.
• Relevant experience in implanting support plans for people who display challenging behaviours
• Ability to actively contribute, and implement Behaviour Support Strategies
• Critical thinking and response to challenging behaviours
• Delivering personal care tailored to the individual by following their plans
• Experience in working with individuals with a range of disability (Autism, Intellectual disability, Physical disabilities etc)
• Complete and report on Active Folders and other behaviour charts
• Understand the strict confidentiality of working with clients
• A willingness to contribute to a continuous improvement culture and attend all relevant behaviour support training
• Able to demonstrate positive communication and attendance to monthly team meetings
• Ability to support with client goals and completing shift reports as well as shift duties.
• Previous experience with supported independent living is preferable however not a requirement
• Confidence to bring new ideas and feedback to your Care Coordinator, and have the social awareness for feedback and to carry out new ideas.
• An understanding of the National Disability Service Standards and safe guarding

It is also essential to hold or be willing/able to have the following:

• Current Drivers License
• The ability to pass a National Police Check
• First Aid/ CPR
• WWCC (VIC & NSW).
• NDIS Workers Screening Check
