We are looking to employ on a casual or permanent part-time position as a Disability Support Worker. The duties and responsibilities of the role include:
- Assist Participants in undertaking a range of activities of daily living including - assisting with medication, personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation & mealtime assistance, accessing the community, providing transport and transport training
- Represent the company at all times in a professional and courteous manner
- Follow established practices, procedures, care plans and care directions.
- Fill in daily progress notes and other relevant documents
- Undertake in person, online and other training as directed
- Maintain the highest level of professional integrity
- Follow person-centred support plans and behaviour support plans of participant information
- Ensure all support work practice is at the highest quality standard.
- Minimum Cert III in Aged Care, Community Service, Individual Support Disability (or willing to obtain)
- NSW Working With Children Check
- National Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screener Clearance
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain prior to start date)
- Current Driver’s License, your own car and full comprehensive insurance
- Current First Aid & Current CPR certificate
- Dedicated and have a desire to make a positive difference to our participants lives by providing a supporting and empowering support service
- Empathetic and have great people and communication skills
- Able to work cohesively with participants and staff
- Reliable and punctual
- Able to demonstrate time management skills
- Willing to work broken shifts ranging from early mornings to evenings and late nights, available to work weekends and overnight sleepover shifts.
