The Role
The purpose of the role is to effectively manage the distribution of products to depots, customers and retail outlets within the zone with NSW zone. You will play a vital role in planning and coordinating transport operations' activities whilst liaising with other functions within the business autonomously to achieve results on a day-to-day basis.
Additional responsibilities in this role also include:
- You will manage the distribution of products to depots, customers and retail outlets within the zone and interstate
- You will plan and coordinate transport operations' activities while liaising with other functions within the business
- Ensure compliance to Linde standards, local regulations and contracted terms & conditions
- Monitor the drive-cam system to ensure effective coaching is carried out in a timely manner
- Facilitate and execute the Distribution strategy for your areas, in line with the Regional Distribution plan as directed by the distribution manager
- You will work with the Distribution manager to execute strategy on Safety, Service, People and Performance
- Provide clear direction to direct staff and contractors ensuring the strategy is clearly communicated and effectively understood in each of the Areas
- Provide coverage for other roles within distribution as directed by the distribution manager
Skills and experience we are looking for:
- You will have at least 5 years' experience in managing a team within transport, ideally managing dispatch admin and fleet
- In addition, you will have professional and technical competence within Logistics operations
- Excellent motivational and leadership skills – breeds a ‘Can do’ attitude in teams
- You will have the ability to understand large-scale transport scheduling systems and processes
- Knowledge of Dangerous Goods transport
- Experience in SAP systems and processes
- Finally, you have strong verbal and written communication skills
