About this Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Distributor Business Manager to manage Lactalis’ distributor network within Queensland. Reporting to the National Business Manager - Direct Store Delivery (DSD), this is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive and high performing team who are engaged and committed to ensuring the efficient and effective distribution of our products through our distribution network.
Lactalis has a national delivery network of over 75 independent franchisees and distributors servicing over 14,000 customers. Within a close knit team, this challenging and strategic role will require you to work autonomously to ensure our business partners are operating at best practice and create mutually beneficial outcomes.
Key accountabilities of the role are:
- Develop and sustain relationships with distribution partners
- Delivery of key metrics including ;Lactalis volume, 2Net Sales & MC budget for Distributor PAGG, litres per delivery, cents per litre, customer service levels, DIFOT
- To ensure sustainability of delivery at the best cost (measure, scrutinise and report on all delivery costs)
- Reduce fixed cost exposure by ensuring future customer network requirements are match by suitable ways to market
- Internal stakeholder management and influence across Logistics, sales & planning
Ideally you will have:
- Hold a technical or similar qualification & hands-on management skills
- 5 years’ experience in similar customer relationship roles
- Proven experience in distributor / franchisee operations - or similar
- Highly developed commercial acumen and negotiation skills - essential
- Understanding of basic warehouse, transport operations and sales in FMCG
- Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving ability
- Demonstrable use of continuous improvement methodology to re-engineer operating processes
- Proven leadership skills
- Strong initiative
