About the Role
Join our dynamic team as the Educational Manager in Advanced Building Studies and play a key role in shaping the future of education at TAFE SA. Working closely with the Director of Future Industry and Trade, you will lead the development and implementation of the academic framework, ensuring seamless alignment with TAFE SA’s educational strategy and statutory quality standards. You will lead a team of educators and collaborate with other stakeholders to drive educational initiatives that empower our students to excel academically and personally.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Envision and articulate a compelling future for TAFE SA, formulating clear goals, leading your team toward success through thoughtful decision making, effective communication and adaptability to changing circumstances.
- Human Resource Management: Ensure the implementation of appropriate human resource management policies, programs, and strategies to foster a productive and cooperative working environment.
- Future Focussed: Support with the design of learning programs for current and future knowledge and skills needs with flexibility to provide learning opportunities as needed. Support students and expert educators with up-to-date innovations in learning techniques and technologies.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure the delivery of high-quality education by implementing assessment and evaluation strategies, monitoring academic progress, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Industry and Community Relations: Develop and enhance relationships with major industries, government agencies, and employer groups. Identify emerging trends and developments and communicate this information to appropriate stakeholders to position TAFE SA as leaders in learning.

- Bachelor of Adult and Vocational Education.
- Proven experience in successfully leading a large team.
- Educational operations management experience.
- Strong knowledge of educational best practices and current trends.
- Excellent industry and government stakeholder partnering skills.
- Strong financial acumen, project management and strategic thinking experience.
- Trade or relevant professional qualifications and experience.
- Highly refined interpersonal and communication skills at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and implement educational strategies.
