EHSQ Coordinator
Outstanding opportunity to join one of Australia's largest privately owned civil and remediation contractors, a national organisation operating for over 15 years. Based in the Sydney office, the role will be to assist the EHSQ Manager to implement the organisations environmental, health, safety, and quality management system across multiple sites and maintain compliance with statutory, regulatory, contractual and project stakeholder requirements. Under the direction of the EHSQ Manager and other upper Management and Company Directors, the applicant will undertake a variety of duties with some expected to be delivered autonomously and prioritised according to business requirements.
The role will incorporate a variety of responsibilities, including:
- Implementing the organisations EHSQ management systems to comply with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements
- Developing environmental, safety and quality project management plans
- Delivering company inductions and training
- Organising worker training through external training providers
- Identifying hazards associated with plant, equipment, materials and work activities
- Completing risk assessments and identifying practical and effective control measures
- Preparing and monitoring compliance with Safe Work Method Statements
- Performing site inspections and audits to ensure that correct procedures are followed, and that workers and subcontractors are adhering to EHSQ requirements
- EHSQ administrative tasks and record keeping
- Providing advice and assistance on EHSQ matters to personnel
- Coordinating the health surveillance monitoring of workers exposed to hazardous materials in the workplace
- Facilitating the incident reporting process and conducting investigations to identify corrective actions
- Coordinating the return to work process
- Occasional travel within NSW and interstate.
Mandatory Experience and Qualifications Required
- Proven experience of 3+ years in a civil construction / remediation industry in a safety / quality / environmental role
- General Construction Induction White Card
- Full Drivers Licence
- Experience with the MS Office Suite
Desirable Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience with ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems
- Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety
- Certificate IV in Environmental Management
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- Return to Work Coordinator Training

Remuneration: $100k to $120k + Super + Vehicle, dependent on experience.
