Thomson Bridge has assembled a team of professionals whose career experiences and skills contribute to the design and delivery of flexible and relevant high and low voltage operating, electrical access, heights, rescue, first aid and confined space training.
As an experienced Electrical Compliance Trainer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering effective training programs to across Australia to a diverse group of Clients.
The Role will focus on the delivery of:
- High quality industry relevant training and assessment that complies with nationally endorsed training package guidelines, national Vocational Education and Training (VET) legislation, and industry standards.
- Assist to develop and administer industry relevant resources and assessment activities and tasks that are mapped to training package.
- Assess and address the varied needs of each student/trainee, including the provision of training which caters for individual differences in prior learning, academic abilities and learning styles (both on and off the job), and provide additional assistance to students with low levels of literacy and numeracy.
- Comply with organisational requirements for the completion of student documentation, including attendance, assessments records, results etc.
- Maintain strong links with other staff, ensuring all activity is complementary and utilises the existing knowledge, expertise, resources, and industry/business links within our organisation.
- In conjunction with BU heads, foster a team approach to the delivery of courses by attending regular staff meetings and participate in regular moderation/validation workshops.
- Undertaking relevant professional development to maintain industry currency.
The Person
The ideal applicant/s will have experience working within the Australian Electrical networks or similar industries and have a passion for passing on the benefits of your knowledge and experience to new and experienced workers. In addition to training, you may assist in the delivery of our range of advisory services to our wide range of customers.
The successful applicant/s
Must have:
- Training experience and a current TAE 40116 certification in Training and Assessment is essential. Thomson Bridge will also consider and support the right candidate in attaining their TAE.
- Minimum 5-10 years’ experience in relevant vocational industry, including demonstrated experience in training and assessment in a competency- based training environment and an understanding of nationally endorsed Training Packages and accredited courses, including vocational currency.
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Capability to speak in front of groups when delivering training sessions.
May have:
- Qualifications and experience in Transmission Line construction would be advantageous.
