Events @ Kedron-Wavell has been an institution in the North Brisbane community for decades – with a lot of our locals having attended an event at the Club one time or another. Over the past year our Events Centre has expanded to incorporate two new venues The Sands Social and The Sands Bowlo. We are continuing to grow and need someone who is highly organised, efficient, and great at multi-tasking to take the reins in a full-time Events Assistant Coordinator role.
What your day will include, but not limited to:
To assist the events team and Events Manager:
- General office duties including data entry, processing bookings, filing.
- Building strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders
- Working closely with the Events Manager and the accounts team to ensure prompt payment of all bookings.
- Generating signage, floor plans, invoices and menus as required
- Following up on event details with clients
- Taking telephone enquiries in a professional and cheerful manner
- Attending meetings with clients and holding site visits
- Working across all venues to ensure customer satisfaction
- Assisting in identifying new opportunities with clients
- Any other tasks as requested by the Events Manager
What’s needed to be successful in the role:
- Some experience in Event Management / hospitality
- Strong computer skills including Word, Excel and Publisher
- Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Preferred, but not essential - experience with Event Pro Software (or similar)
- Ability to work on weekends if necessary
- Knowledge of how to use EventPro (Desirable)
