We are seeking an experienced Events Coordinator to join our team onsite at our corporate client in Barangaroo, Sydney CBD. This role is responsible for the successful coordination and event planning of functions, including initial enquiries, client liaison (internal and external) and dining operations whilst delivering the highest level of customer service.
Key Duties
Consult with key stakeholders (internal and external) to plan and coordinate events
Facilitate the smooth running of events and functions
Work co-operatively with operations and kitchen teams in regard to handing over functions to ensure seamless delivery
Conduct follow-up correspondence with clients and respond to feedback
Working directly with preferred suppliers where required
The Person
Minimum 2 years experience in a function venue or similar environment
Experience in FOH, room set up, menu planning and cost control
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Excellent time management and ability to prioritise tasks
Proficiency in event management software and MS Office
In line with the required legislation, a valid and current national criminal record check will be required as part of the standard recruitment and selection process for this position.
