Deus Ex Machina (Deus Cafe) is a unique and multi faceted hospitality venue that trades mostly beakfast and lunch, but we swing open the doors at night for one off events or collaboration pop-ups when we the mood strikes. The day can be rather varied. One minute were serving coffees and pastries to a small friend group, then were sending burgers and beers to a boozy business lunch, then cocktails and shareplates at night. If you like variety in service, this is the venue for you. This Particular role is going to be 80% working the floor and in venue and 20% organising events and liaising with customers via email. a unique role for someone that is perhaps confident on the floor and service side of things and is looking to step up into a coordiantion role.
Qualifications & experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication, an added bonus if you have good email sensibilty and etiquette.
- sound understanding of computer basics (saving and sending documents, attaching files etc)
- A genuine and warm personality that will be the face of the private events at deus.
Tasks & responsibilities
- liasing with clients in organising their events
- Responding to event inquirys informatively and efficiently
- Running the day to day shift when the manager is not around
- Working the floor, serving guests, running food, running drinks, greeting and seating and most other general floor staff duties
