As an Events Manager, you will join our corporate events team on a 12-month contract to cover maternity leave working part-time 4 days a week. You will run stakeholder events from concept to execution, ranging from conferences and exhibitions to functions and special events. You will work with various stakeholders, including lender partners, AFG’s marketing department, and even external suppliers to ensure the events are aligned with AFG’s brand, vision and objectives. You will also manage aspects of event planning and execution, such as event type, style, location, venue and promotion.
Who we’re looking for
To be successful in this role, you will need to have experience in events management, have a proven track record of planning and executing professional events with a keen eye for detail, and possess excellent skills in overseeing budgets. You will need to be a self-starter who can work autonomously but also be willing to ask for help when needed. Flexibility for travel interstate is required and the ability to work additional days when events are in full swing. Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills are a must, and successful applicants will have a collaborative and positive attitude to be a part of a close-knit team.
