The Opportunity:
Reporting to a fabulous Senior Events Manager, and working within a collaborative and dedicated events team, the position incumbent will be responsible for the following key areas:
Event Delivery
- Plan the end-to-end management of a portfolio of events in the Netball calendar including Origin Diamonds, Domestic and Community, ensuring all key deliverables are met.
- Conduct planning, briefing and debriefing meetings with all internal stakeholders and external hirers ensuring all internal timelines are met.
- Active management of your event budgets, ensuring events are delivered within budget.
- Be fully conversant with all relevant agreements pertaining to the event, including but not limited to Venue Hire Agreements, Government agreements, service agreements etc.
Stakeholder Management
- Drive innovation and service excellence to deliver amazing event experiences for all stakeholders.
- Create and maintain robust, collaborative, and flexible working relationship with internal staff, external member organisations, contractors, and suppliers.
- Proactive communication with the Senior Events Manager, internal and external stakeholders on all areas pertaining to events.
Event Documentation
- Maintain and produce event documentation in relation to the event including scheduling, event management plans and budgets
- Any other activities required and assigned by the Senior Events Manager.

Some other key capabilities. behaviours, knowledge, and traits that would stand out to us:
- 5+ years' experience in Event Delivery within the Sports Industry.
- A passion for events of all shapes and sizes, nationally, socially and at a commercial level.
- Exceptional interpersonal, organisational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated record of meeting targets with tight timelines.
- Comprehension of and support towards Netball Australia goals, expectations, and vision.
- A strong work ethic, high level of motivation and attention to detail to be able to work autonomously.
- Pride in your work that clearly shows well-crafted time management skills and sound understanding of best practice within Events execution.
- Bright, bubbly persona, approachable, flexible, adaptable with capability to influence.
- Deep knowledge of, passion for, and experience within, the netball ecosystem is highly desirable.

On the cusp of our centenary, and significant opportunity leading into the 2027 Netball World Cup in Sydney, there has never been a more exciting time to join! This opportunity is offered on a 12-month fixed term contract basis covering parental leave, based at our HQ in vibrant Fitzroy, where you will be spoilt for choice on great coffee spots!
