IPAA Victoria is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Events Manager to deliver an exciting program of events, awards and activities. Reporting to the Executive Director, Program Delivery, this position will have the opportunity to engage and work across the public purpose sector, building relationships with a diverse range of members and stakeholders and co-designing programs and events that meet the needs of the sector.

About the position
The Manager Events is responsible for the design and delivery of a rolling program of flagship events including International Women’s Day, Top 50 Public Sector Women Awards, Leadership in the Public Sector Awards, IPAA Fellows Awards and the State Budget Briefing.
The role is responsible for working closely with key organisational member stakeholders, corporate partners, Victorian Public Sector departmental senior leaders and the IPAA Victoria Awards Advisory Committee.
The Manager Events works closely with Manager Marketing & Communications (M&C) to ensure comprehensive and consistent M&C strategy, plan, online content and collateral for the events program.
This position will suit somebody that enjoys overseeing and coordinating the delivery of major programs and events, including:
- Leading the design, delivery and evaluation of a calendar of flagship events and awards for members
- Providing leadership and support to the Events Coordinator
- Coordinating between program and event committees, designers, sponsors, suppliers, and other members of the delivery team to deliver a seamless experience to customers
- Leading and coordinating event planning including briefings, logistics, collateral, and stakeholder management
- Reviewing pricing and budgets to ensure revenue and key business objectives are met
- Leading post-event evaluation including the use and analysis of data and stakeholder feedback to improve program design and delivery in the future
- Identifying and implementing process improvements
- Support reporting to the Board and other key stakeholders
