Executive Assistant 

We are looking for an Executive Assistant to join the Perth Festival team on a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and keen to make a contribution to the future success of the Perth Festival!

Working closely with the Executive Director and Artistic Director you will provide effective and efficient administrative support services. The position reports to the Executive Director but has a direct line of responsibility to the Artistic Director. The Executive Assistant also acts as the public face of the Festival in dealing with enquiries, while also acting as a connector between the Executive Director and Artistic Director, stakeholders, departments and staff to ensure that relevant information is transferred in a timely and accurate way ensuring that all parties remain informed of appropriate matters. 

Some of the key responsibilities of the role are to:

  • Provide confidential, high level administrative support to the Artistic Director and Executive Director.
  • Assist the Artistic Director and Executive Director to prioritise urgent and important items including relevant correspondence and act as appropriate to facilitate the management of the work-flow through the office
  • Coordinate and schedule meetings for the Artistic Director and Executive Director, including where relevant taking minutes, scheduling meetings and preparation of agendas and supporting documentation 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: 

  • At least 3 years' experience in arts administration or experience providing Executive Assistant services to a CEO or senior manager.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities, meet strict deadlines and juggle competing demands.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) and demonstrated ability to communicate and develop relationships with a diverse range of people, internally and externally
  • Demonstrated discretion in handling confidential and sensitive written and oral information
