Alfred Health is a leader in health care delivery, improvement, research and education. We are the main provider of health services to people living in the inner southeast suburbs of Melbourne, from ambulatory to inpatient and home and community-based services.

Legal Office Executive Assistant & Office Manager

  • Fixed Term (9 April 2024 – 25 October 2024)
  • Full Time (76 hours per fortnight)
  • Managers and Administrative Worker Grade 3

The Department

Alfred Health’s comprises six staff – a General Counsel, Deputy General Counsel, three Legal Counsel, and an Executive Assistant.  The Legal Office provides advice and assistance to the organisation and its staff on a range of corporate, commercial and medico-legal issues.

The Role

This position will provide office management and administrative support to the General Counsel and the legal team.   The role also involves management and maintenance of Alfred Health’s contract execution and database, and management of Alfred Health’s patients’ belongings, Alfred Health property and business travel insurance claims, as well as management and maintenance of patient valuables.

You will be highly organised and a skilled communicator with a strong customer focus, and able to balance competing demands to meet Alfred Health’s corporate and administrative needs.

Skills 

  • Outstanding inter-personal and negotiation skills
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
  • A demonstrated ability to show initiative, improve systems and processes
  • proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Outlook
  • Demonstrated integrity and a proven ability to maintain confidentiality
