School Of Special Educational Needs: Sensory (SSEN:S) is seeking a highly organised and efficient Executive Support Officer to join their team.
The Executive Support Officer will be responsible for coordinating the daily operations of the school's Executive team, providing administrative support to the principal and other members of the Executive team. This includes extracting data from various data systems and undertaking data analysis which supports annual reporting, school and financial planning objectives. They should also assist the Leadership team with undertaking event related activities, manage incoming and outgoing enquiries, establish, and maintain effective communication networks with internal and external stakeholders, and maintain a confidential electronic filing system as instructed by the principal.
The successful applicant will ideally possess high-level oral, written, and interpersonal communication, analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills. You should also be able to work in a collaborative team environment and be committed to building quality communication with all stakeholders and developing strong community relationships and links.
SSEN: S provides educational support for children with hearing loss, vision impairment or dual sensory loss in both public and non-government schools across Western Australia. The staff strive to meet the individual needs of learners by providing educational support for children and students while supporting schools to provide accessible learning environments, curriculum and school communities. Educational support is available across the public school and non-government system, from birth to Year 12. SSEN: S is part of a network of specialist schools which operate under the Statewide Services pillar of Service Delivery.
This selection process will initially be used to fill the above vacancy. Applicants assessed as suitable during this selection process may be considered for other similar vacancies that occur throughout our school for up to 12 months following this initial appointment. This includes circumstances where this position becomes subsequently vacant should the successful applicant decline or vacate the advertised position.
To be suitable for this role, you will need to demonstrate the following work related requirements (selection criteria):
- Knowledge of and considerable experience in the delivery of administration support services, including the ability to provide Executive Support to senior managers.
- Sound oral communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise effectively with internal and external key stakeholders at all levels.
- Sound written communication skills with the ability to prepare correspondence, minutes and briefing notes.
- Sound research, conceptual, analytical and time management skills, including the ability to manage conflicting deadlines and work with minimal supervision.
- Well developed computer skills, including a working knowledge of databases, spreadsheets, word processing and experience using an electronic records management system.
