Are you an experienced Bookkeeper looking for a new and exciting challenge?
Our accounting firm, Mid Coast Partners, is seeking a motivated and driven Bookkeeper to join the team.
This role is preferably for a full time candidate (37.5 hours per week, Mon - Fri), however part time applicants are welcome to apply. You will be required to work from our office located in the Geraldton Marina Precinct.
About the RoleYou will be responsible for providing end-to-end bookkeeping services for our clients. Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing the day-to-day bookkeeping tasks;
- Overseeing the work of other bookkeepers, and ensuring accurate financial records are maintained;
- Handle end-to-end payroll, including EOFY reconciliations and STP compliance;
- Ensuring statutory compliance with BAS, PAYG, and Superannuation requirements;
- Liaising directly with clients via telephone and email;
- Training clients on how to use Xero, converting new clients from other accounting software;
- Liaising with the ATO on behalf of our clients.
- The ideal candidate would have experience working in an accounting firm
- Experience managing or training staff desired but not essential
- Advanced Xero skills
- Intermediate MYOB and QuickBooks skills
- High attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Highly motivated with the ability to exercise initiative towards daily tasks
- Able to work as part of a team with a wide variety of clients and staff
- Willingness to learn about new technologies and additional software applications
