Our Sydney branch is currently looking for an experienced Export Manager to join our team due to an internal promotion.

Responsibilities

• Set specific KPI’s, targets and goals for team members and measuring such through regular reviews
• Recruit, coach, mentor and develop team members, lead and promote projects throughout the team
• Manage daily operations through each key area, workflow mapping and refinement
• Work with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and strong relationships
• Regular customer visits to build relationships & understand continuous improvement opportunities
• Support Sales & KAM teams for business development, retention and implementation
• Act as Subject Matter Expert and escalation point for client complaints or major issues
• Understand client reporting requirement and provide department KPI reporting to management team monthly or on request
• Conduct monthly and weekly team meetings to create and maintain a collaborative team, promote action and positive outcomes
• Keep ahead of industry developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement
• Set the benchmark and drive the national standard for our pricing process & outcomes
• Ensure a fast and reliable final mile delivery service is achieved
• Drive business initiatives for growth of the screening process

Requirements

• Substantial understanding and experience in export operations within freight forwarding
• Management and leadership qualities to create an engaged team
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
• Customer service driven attitude with the ability to find efficient solutions for the customer
• Time management and prioritisation skills
