Our Sydney branch is currently looking for an experienced Export Manager to join our team due to an internal promotion.
Responsibilities
- Set specific KPI’s, targets and goals for team members and measuring such through regular reviews
- Recruit, coach, mentor and develop team members, lead and promote projects throughout the team
- Manage daily operations through each key area, workflow mapping and refinement
- Work with internal stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and strong relationships
- Regular customer visits to build relationships & understand continuous improvement opportunities
- Support Sales & KAM teams for business development, retention and implementation
- Act as Subject Matter Expert and escalation point for client complaints or major issues
- Understand client reporting requirement and provide department KPI reporting to management team monthly or on request
- Conduct monthly and weekly team meetings to create and maintain a collaborative team, promote action and positive outcomes
- Keep ahead of industry developments and apply best practices to areas of improvement
- Set the benchmark and drive the national standard for our pricing process & outcomes
- Ensure a fast and reliable final mile delivery service is achieved
- Drive business initiatives for growth of the screening process
Requirements
- Substantial understanding and experience in export operations within freight forwarding
- Management and leadership qualities to create an engaged team
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with clients
- Customer service driven attitude with the ability to find efficient solutions for the customer
- Time management and prioritisation skills
