Job Title: Facilities Manager

Full time permanent

$70,000 to $90,000 per year plus superannuation

The Role: 

As a facilities Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and
operations of our apartment buildings. You will ensure that our properties are well-
maintained, safe, and comfortable for our residents. This role requires strong
leadership skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering excellent customer
service.
Key responsibilities will include:
  • Act as the first point of contact for building related matters and liaise appropriately with internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage issues.
  • Coordinate and supervise maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders and repairs.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the properties to identify maintenance needs and safety hazards.
  • Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to prolong the life of building systems and equipment.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for maintenance services and supplies.
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries and concerns, always providing excellent customer service.
  • Oversee capital improvement projects and renovations, working closely with contractors and stakeholders to ensure quality and timeliness.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory.

About You:
• A Minimum qualification of a bachelor’s degree with at least 2 years experience working in a similar position.
• High attention to detail.
• Excellent time management, problem solving and organisational skills.
• Must have own means of transportation (preferably a car) with Australian Driver licence.
• You are self-driven and have excellent organization skills to manage your ever –
changing workload.
• Well presented with great customer services ability & Friendly, helpful personality.
• Ability to professionally handle complaints.
• Understand industry trends and OHS requirements.
• Willingness to get trained and participate in industry training programs & projects.
• High level of accuracy with Word, Excel, and Emails.
• Keen to learn and adapt to new software systems.
• Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills.
• Be able to produce and write reports as required for the role.
• Immaculate presentation and in-line with the building’s vision.
• Handyperson experience highly regarded but not essential.
