Farm Office Manager
Burlington Farming is a progressive, profitable and secure agribusiness located at Cressy, Northern Midlands, Tasmania. We produce a range of crops and seed crops, with a modern seed processing facility complimented with a fat lamb enterprise.
You will enjoy a varied role, covering all aspects of a modern farming agribusiness. This role is ideal for an administrator, with a passion for farming and proven communication and organizational skills. You need to be able to take on responsibility, show initiative and pay close attention to detail. There will be involvement in all aspects of the business, working closely with the Farm Manager, Farm Owner and farm staff.
Key responsibilities:
- Bookkeeping of all Farm accounts, receivable and payable.
- Fortnightly Payroll & Staff inductions
- Assist with seed inventory control, stock takes and liaising with Upper Murray Seeds our seed marketing company
- Produce end of month and quarterly reports to key stake holders
- Handle general enquires, and customer service
- WH&S processes
- Assist with crop reporting and mapping and variable application plans as required
- Other varied duties as required
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
- Experience in MYOB and Excel
- Experience in payroll/PAYE and payroll records
- Bookkeeping experience and/or accounting skills
- Previous experience of office administrative work
- Excellent IT and communication skills
- A flexible approach to work and changing priorities
- A high degree of numeracy and accuracy
- An understanding of farming practices and terminology
- An ability to work on own initiative
- High levels of energy, enthusiasm, and a good sense of humour certainly helps.
