Fashion Journal: Account Manager - Advertising and Partnerships
Fashion Journal, one of Australia’s leading fashion and lifestyle publications, is seeking an experienced media sales professional to join its Melbourne based team.
The role will involve driving commercial growth across brands and agencies, with a focus on the fashion, beauty and lifestyle sectors.
Joining a highly skilled and passionate team, the successful candidate will work collaboratively alongside commercial and editorial staff and thrive on the thrill of being immersed in Australia’s fashion and creative industries.
A hybrid WFH / office situation is on offer (Mondays and Fridays WFH, Tues to Thursday in our Brunswick office) along with the opportunity to attend a range of events in Australia’s fashion calendar throughout the year.
Key responsibilities:
- Achieving revenue targets via multi media solutions spanning content, social and display advertising to wide range of clientele, both agency and direct.
- Identifying new sales and revenue opportunities.
- Maintaining an ongoing roster of new and existing commercial accounts.
- Preparing sales collateral and presentations.
- Achieving KPIs across a range of areas including meetings, calls, emails and canvassing.
- Using data to lead and inform sales prospecting.
- Responding to client briefs employing a combination of creativity and data.
- Overseeing delivery of complex multi platform campaigns involving web, social and print deliverables.
- Reaching sales targets by meeting monthly and quarterly revenue benchmarks.
- Maintaining a full pipeline of leads and providing regular forecasting reports.
As the ideal candidate, you will possess:
- At least 3 years experience in a commercial, sales or partnerships role in the media industry.
- A deep understanding of the Australian media landscape, including but not limited to the relationships between advertisers, agencies (creative/PR/media) and other entities.
- Existing contacts in any of the Australian fashion, media agency or lifestyle brand sectors.
- Software proficiency in all of the following: MAC OS, Word/Pages, Powerpoint/Keynote, Google Suite.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A strong work ethic.
- A demonstrable passion for the Australian creative industries especially fashion and design is highly desirable.
- Your own car and driver’s license.
A base salary commensurate with experience along with an uncapped and generous bonus/incentive scheme, along with phone and car allowance is on offer for the right person.
