The Opportunity:
We are seeking a Field Support Technician to provide support to our sales team, dealer network and end users. In this role the right candidate will provide support to customer service for spare parts and general technical enquiries. The role will also be an integral assistant to the dealer network in servicing Permobil products. If you're an individual that likes interacting with people, enjoy problem solving and finding the solutions but also can be technical minded, we would like to hear from you.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Tech and Programming support to dealers
- Respond to technical calls/emails from dealers.
- Diagnose and repair power wheelchairs, power assist and other products within agreed service level timelines.
- Assist with spare parts and service inquiries.
- Coordination/delivery of local demo equipment
- Search and identify the correct part number required by the dealer for the service and repair.
- Produce accurate and complete quotes for parts and services.
- Maintain up-to-date service and quote records for quality purpose.
- Return warranty assessment and processing.
- Coordinating with Sales and Customer Service teams when further diagnosis support is required.
- Demo and Trial setup.
- Maintaining up to date tool kits for servicing
- Comply with Permobil Quality and Safety procedures and requirements.

Required Knowledge & Experience:
- Mechanical/electronic technical aptitude and be detail oriented.
- Customer service orientated.
- Good computer skills using typical business applications.
- Minimum 3 years' experience in technical service preferably medical device/automative industry
- Ability to work in a busy workshop environment.
- Basical level electrical knowledge including wiring diagram interpretation.
- Basic level troubleshooting/critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication
- Calm and professional approach to inquiries.
