Finance Analyst

Connect People are urgently seeking a Finance Analyst for an immediate start at our client's head office in North Sydney.

Our Tier 1 client is one of the largest essential services providers in Australia and New Zealand, proudly providing the services that keep infrastructure working for our communities.

While this is a 3 month casual role starting ASAP through until July 2024, there is a temp to perm opportunity for the right person.

This position is responsible for supporting the Finance Manager – Overheads & Recharges, through ensuring that the identified corporate overheads profit centres financials are tracked, managed, recorded, reported, and forecast accurately and in line with budget. 

Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm | $61.55 per hour 

Key Duties & Responsibilities:

• Perform the role of finance business partner for the identified corporate overhead profit centres.
• Preparation of overheads reports for the identified corporate overhead profit centres, ensuring costs are valid, accurately recorded and within budget / forecast.
• Provide quality insight into factors influencing performance (actual v budget / forecast) and present recommendations for performance improvement to support the decision-making process.
• Process all recharges in a timely manner ensuring values have been accurately calculated and are in line with budget / forecast where appropriate.
• Reconcile prepayments, accruals, GRNI, other payables and receivables balances, ensuring aged items are investigated and cleared in a timely manner.
• End to end preparation and timely delivery of quality budgets and quarterly reforecasting including appropriate variance analysis, graphs and commentary.

Requirements:

• Relevant degree qualification in Accounting/Finance
• 3+ years’ experience in a similar level role
• CA or CPA qualified.
• Sound IT capability, experience using SAP, Power BI and BPC are desirable but not essential.
