Where the team fits in
We are the team responsible for management of Finance applications at REA. Our two primary systems are NetSuite for operational finance, and Adaptive Insights (Workday) for financial planning and analysis. The finance squad sits within Enterprise Technology, part of the Tech & Data line of business. Enterprise Technology is broadly responsible for end user computing, finance systems and corporate system engineering.
What the role is all about
Liaise with business stakeholders across REA’s finance teams
Worke closely with Delivery Teams (Product, Solution leads, 3rd party ERP consultants, Delivery leads and product owners)
Translate business requirements into clear, concise, testable and accurate user stories & process flows
Ensure requirements are understood and communicate using a variety of analysis and documentation techniques.
Work closely with Product Managers to understand and advise on how the requirements are implemented
Communicate any dependencies, issues or risks identified through the analysis process
Contribute to the team’s understanding and prioritisation during planning meetings and retrospectives;
Contribute to Enterprise Tech Showcases
Facilitate and participating in team standups, retrospectives & iteration planning sessions.
Who we’re looking for
Be passionate about the world of Finance, Accounting systems and processes with a minimum of 4 years of experience in Finance.
Experience with projects like data migration, ERP migration, migration to new ERP systems, process improvement projects or similar is highly beneficial.
Be passionate about delivering solutions in an agile and fast paced environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to run workshops and inceptions.
Share experience and knowledge with colleagues, enabling others to learn and grow.
Be approachable and willing to collaborate with others.
Embrace change and responsibility.
General problem solving skills and ability to think creatively
Ability to converse with both end-users and IT employees at all levels of the organisation.
Technical familiarity with complex data systems.
Experience with financial systems (eg ERP), as an analyst, a super-user or an SME.
Accounting qualifications (advantageous)
Experience using agile methodologies (advantageous)
