About the Role
Primary responsibilities are to:
- Assist the Chief Financial Officer to forecast and plan budgets alongside College schools and departments.
- Oversee the Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable staff and function of the college, including payroll.
- Analyse and prepare monthly Profit and Loss and Balance Sheet reports.
- Prepare month end revenue journals, accruals, deferred expenses and reconcile prepayments.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage the yearly audit/s.
- Prepare weekly cash flow statements and control expenditure and cash flow.
- Implement and maintain periodic dashboard report for the College.

Qualifications and Professional Standing:
- Hold a Bachelor and/or post graduate qualification in Accounting/Finance.
- 5+ years' experience in accounting/ finance or relevant field.
- Preferably CPA or working towards CPA would be an advantage.
- Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including Access Database.
- Knowledge of Paradigm, CommBiz & MYOB interface upload processing preferred.
- Previous experience working in higher education sector is an advantage.
- A natural passion for continuous improvement, quality and a 'can-do attitude'.
- Confidentiality and privacy are a necessity, with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Clear, open, honest and timely communication, customer centric stakeholder engagement both internal and external, and confidence in presentations.
- Ability to plan, analyse and provide recommendations on data acquired.
- Able to meet conflicting deadlines, work autonomously, as part of a team and use initiative.
