A vacancy exists for an experienced Finance Manager to join our organisation and provide financial support and analysis for two of our hospitals in Brisbane and Canberra. This role provides you with the opportunity to work autonomously with the support of a shared service finance team. It could be based in either Brisbane or Canberra, with flexible work options available.
A snapshot of your role:
As the Finance Manager you will add value to our organisation by managing the finance function, including the hands-on day to day finance operations, of two hospitals in the iMH group.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the day-to-day financial operations of the hospital, including supporting the hospital CEOs with financial insights.
- Developing and managing budgets and financial models.
- Preparing financial analysis to identify trends, risks and opportunities.
- Delivery of management reporting inclusive of KPI, forecast reporting and activity and revenue reporting as well as department P&L scorecards.
- Reconciliation of payroll reporting and analysis.
- Management of capital expenditure accounting and reporting processes.
- Accounts payable processes.
- Perform end of month reconciliations and provide monthly financial reporting and analysis.
- Lead, monitor, and provide guidance to the management team, fostering a collaborative and supporting work environment.
- Drive process improvements and cost efficiencies, whilst contributing to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Our ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
- CA / CPA qualified
- Current financial management experience such as Finance Manager, management accountant or FP&A roles.
- Private hospital (or similar sector) experience.
- Excellent analytical skills to identify financial trends and provide actionable insights.
- Strong computer skills including advanced level Excel skills.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- A positive, respectful and solution focused attitude especially when managing competing priorities.
