Join our client as a Finance Manager where you'll play a crucial role in our Finance & Strategy team, amplifying the Major Projects team's success.
Work closely with leadership, delivering key insights, ensuring governance, and driving precise forecasts. As the cornerstone of financial data and strategic counsel, you'll orchestrate seamless coordination and strive for accuracy in every detail.
The role has key areas of accountability:
- Management and financial reporting of the Major Projects division.
- Budget and business planning for Major Projects.
- Forecasting and management of Indirect Costs for Major Projects.
About the role:
- Deliver comprehensive management and financial reports, including monthly performance summaries for Major Projects and the overall portfolio, outlining key metrics accurately.
- Develop accurate forecasts for performance, financial risks, returns, and alignment with investment targets.
- Create bottom-up annual budgets and business plans for the portfolio, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Strengthen the capacity and capability of the Major Projects Finance team to manage increased activity and complexity effectively.
- Assist in preparing investment materials supporting funding requests to the CFO, IRC, and Board, collaborating with other Finance areas to ensure precision in reporting performance and forecasts.
- Manage capital requirements for each project and the entire portfolio, supporting financing and funding efforts while maintaining visibility of the investment pipeline and managing budgets within expected guidelines and service levels.
About you:
- A bachelor's degree or higher in a related field and hold a Chartered Accountant (CA, CPA, CIMA) or similar qualification with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience.
- Extensive experience in Finance Business Partnering within large-scale construction environments and a proven ability to drive best practices, particularly in project governance.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, and advanced stakeholder management abilities are essential, along with strong business acumen and leadership qualities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must, coupled with a robust financial accounting background in a large corporate setting.
- Proficient in analytics, financial modelling, and performance analysis, with knowledge of corporate financial systems and software applications.
