As the Finance Manager, you will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day financial management. You'll play a key role in ensuring financial health and sustainability, from developing budgets and financial forecasts to monitoring expenses and optimising financial processes. Additionally, you'll work closely with school leadership to provide strategic financial guidance and support decision-making efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and operational needs.
- Monitor financial performance against budgetary targets and provide regular reports to school leadership.
- Manage cash flow, investments, and banking relationships to optimise financial resources.
- Oversee accounts payable, receivables and payroll processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness while ensuring the ongoing career development of these staff.
- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies.
- Stay current with relevant financial regulations and ensure compliance with accounting standards.
- CA or CPA qualified with a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in financial management, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting techniques, and accounting practices.
- Previous experience having led financial systems upgrades or implementations, as there are several projects on the horizon in this space.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively with diverse stakeholders.
