This is a brilliant opportunity for a senior finance professional looking to join a highly reputable Private Equity firm during an exciting period of growth. Over many years they have invested in private companies nationally looking for business improvements and accelerated growth prospects. The Finance Manager will manage fund reporting and all compliance associated with the funds. There is also valuable exposure to potential investors and providing sound commercial advice to Partners.
The Challenge
This is an opportunity for a senior finance executive who wants to gain management level experience leading a small finance function and be intimately involved in all financial aspects of running the firm.
The role will be challenging and exciting as you are overseeing the routine of the finance function whilst also being directly involved in commercial decision-making related to growing the business longer term.
With exposure across the leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparation of timely financial and management reporting for the firm
- Fund performance reporting and management of investor reporting for allocated funds
- Investor capital calls and distributions including reviews of distribution payments
- Management of taxation compliance associated with the funds
- Lead the annual audit process, and financial statements
- Management of the annual budgeting and forecasting
- Corporate taxation and ATO compliance, including BAS lodgement
- Leading process improvements in the systems and processes throughout the firm
It is a given that you will be an experienced finance executive with a proven background in finance and accounting. You will be excited by the opportunity to work in a very professional and corporate culture and engage directly with key senior internal and external stakeholders of the business. It is desired that you have had experience working within the finance function of a Private Equity or Funds Management business. This could be a great next step in your career to work for a larger more complex Private Equity environment. Or you may be making a first move from Business Services and/or Private Clients out of a large accounting firm such as PwC, KPMG, Deloitte, EY, Grant Thornton or Pitcher Partners.
