QPE Advanced Machining is a growing, progressive and best practice focused machining business based in Gillman, South Australia. We deliver advanced component manufacturing, assembly, validation and thorough life support for a range of industries including; defence, aerospace, mining and renewables. They are supported and backed by Stӓrke-AMG, who is a growth driven manufacturing group, totalling 8 businesses and housing facilities in both Australia and Michigan USA. Operating for over 50 years, Stӓrke Group services all industries with a global supply of products including 3D printed metal & plastic, moulds, dies, production aids, fabrication, automation, precision, machined components, castings, stamping and assemblies.
This role will report into the Finance Manager and will be responsible for:
- Accurate processing and coding of the day-to-day financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable;
- Timely processing of invoices by matching purchase orders;
- Handling debtor queries and review of accounts receivable balances to ensure outstanding debts are followed up promptly and collected successfully;
- Liaising with suppliers and undertaking statement reconciliations;
- Assisting with weekly / monthly payment runs;
- Investigating and resolving queries and discrepancies;
- Bank and credit card reconciliations;
- Timely management of accounts payable inbox;
- Undertaking additional financial and administrative tasks as directed.
In this role you will need:
- Strong data entry skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately;
- Good understanding of accounting principles;
- Must have experience in processing accounts receivable and accounts payable;
- Ability to work with team members across different functions and departments with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful partnerships;
- Excellent customer service, communication and time management skills;
- Very good problem-solving skills, the ability to multitask, and work independently;
- Open to embracing change and demonstrate adaptability;
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge with Excel is advantageous;
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office 365 applications such as SharePoint; and
- Knowledge of ERP M1 software desirable.
