AddressNational Patient Transport Group (NPT) is one of Australia's leading providers of private Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT) and provides patient transport services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
NPT is seeking to appoint a full time Finance Officer to assist the business and provide timely and accurate reconciliation of data, customer billing and Workcover processes.
You will ideally have experience working in a similar small to medium business environment, with an understanding of reconciliation and control processes and have strong attention to detail. Working closely with a team of accountants and the Payroll Manager this role will provide opportunities for development and further understanding of key financial controls.
This role requires strong Excel skills, problem-solving and time management skills, the ability to work autonomously or as a team with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensure continual compliance to all current legislative requirements for workers compensation
- Ensure correct Workcover PIAWE calc and payment of all claims processed on a Fortnightly basis
- Manage monthly reconciliation and maintain the Workcover injury database (Solve)
- Liaise with Workcover insurer
- Answer Employees’ Workcover payroll related queries
- Assist with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Participate in audits
- Other duties as required

Qualifications and experience:
- A formal qualification in accounting or finance will be looked upon favourably
- Prior experience with Workcover reconciliation processes is highly desirable
- A high level of numeracy skills and general knowledge of business and accounting processes
