Inala Community House (ICH) is a progressive, community organisation, based in the south-west suburbs of Brisbane. We have been strengthening our local communities through the provision of high quality and responsive services for over 50 years and remain committed to making a real difference in the lives of those in the community in which we serve.
ICH offers a range of services to our communities including Family Day Care, NDIS, Community Engagement, Out of Home Care and Family Intervention Services (FIS). Our services work together to support clients in a holistic way.
About the Role - 38 hours/week, fixed term contract until 30 June 2025
We are seeking a candidate who love all things numbers. The Finance Officer role is varied and involves ensuring that we have appropriate and accurate financial reporting, arranging payments to creditors, reconciliation of accounts and other associated tasks.
Your duties will be varied in this role and include:
- Processing of payroll including superannuation and salary sacrificing payments
- Timely processing of financial transactions
- Managing accounts payable and receivable
- Account reconciliation
- Maintaining an asset register and a depreciation schedule
- Accurate financial reporting
- Liaising with and answering enquiries from internal teams and external stakeholders
- Creating and maintaining financial policies and procedures
- Assist in preparation for financial audits
- Assist in the preparation of budgets

About You
The successful applicant would ideally have a relevant financial qualification.
In addition, the applicant should have:
- A high level of interpersonal communication skills (including demonstrated verbal and written abilities)
- Ability to work productively as part of a team and with a range of stakeholders
Experience in other financial roles is highly regarded.
Other requirements include:
- Open Queensland Driver’s license, without current suspension or disqualification
- A current police check and working with children (Blue Card) check
