About the role
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner the purpose of this full-time position is to perform key operational finance activities and support all aspects of Garden Village across Residential Aged Care, Home Care and Retirement Living.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Finance Business Partner, the Finance Officer duties will include but not limited to:
- Cash management (bank reconciliations, petty cash, cashflow forecasts, investments);
- Fixed Asset Management and reporting;
- Preparation and processing of month end journals, reconciliations, analysis and reporting;
- Preparation of Business Activity Statement (BAS Return)
- Verifying and checking Supplier Payment runs for accuracy
- Support external audit requirements;
- Provide support and leave cover for the accounts payable function
- Provide support and leave cover for the accounts receivable function
- Payroll preparation and support;
- Home Care Reconciliation and support;
- IT support;
- Providing ad-hoc support to the broader team
Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance
- A minimum 2 years experience as a Finance Officer / Assistant Accountant or in a similar role
- Experience working with large ERP systems
- High Level Excel Skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong knowledge of accounting and governance principles, practices, and procedures
- Completed or completing CPA or CA (highly desirable)
- Experience in the Residential Aged Care / Home Care industry (highly desirable)
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
