About the role
The Finance Officer plays a crucial role in supporting the AFF Marketing division. The Finance Officer will support the Finance Manager – Marketing, by working precisely and accurately with highly detailed information so that quality of service is maintained at all times through a clear understanding of the work standard.
Key duties
Assist with AR / AP processes relating to AFF’s Marketing division.
Provide support to the business on strategic projects, proposals, business analyses and case studies.
Assisting the finance team with month end close processes and reconciliations.
Maintain middle office controls of the trading business.
Assist with daily ERP entries and experience with Netsuite ERP will be favoured.
Assist with daily cash flow reporting.
Provide finance support to the broader AFF Group where required.
About you
You are an efficient, self-motivated individual – you are confident in your ability to demonstrate a willingness to take on new challenges, responsibilities, and assignments.
You are an effective verbal and written communicator – you are able to express ideas in a concise and accurate manner.
You work effectively both independently and as part of a team, adapting to your environment well with the right attitude and commitment to continually developing your skill set.
You have previous experience in financial accounting and reporting, with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience in AP/AR tasks. Experience in commodity trading business will also be highly favoured.
You possess excellent numeracy and literacy skills with proven experience in an office workplace environment.
