Jacaranda Housing is a Not-for-Profit organisation providing subsidised housing to Queenslanders in need. Jacaranda Housing manage 170 tenancies across Brisbane, Bayside, and the Redlands, with significant growth on the horizon.
About the role
As the Finance Officer, you will be responsible for the processing of day to day finance transactions and ensuring all accounting and administrative functions are completed promptly.
Additional responsibilities:
- End-to-end accounts receivable and payable
- Reconciling bank accounts
- Assisting with the preparation of financial audits
- Payroll processing
- End-of-month processing and account reconciliations
- Preparation of draft monthly financial reports
- Assistance with budget preparation, monitoring, and analysis
- Assistance in preparing end-of-year financial reports for external stakeholders
- Maintenance of Asset register
- Preparation and Reconciliation of BAS and IAS reporting
- Assistance with reconciliation and acquittal of any grant funding received
- Cash flow analysis and tracking
- Assistance in the preparation of financial modelling and analysis
To be successful, you will have a strong understanding of finance and accounting principles along with demonstrated experience in a similar role. You will have a strong attention to detail and be highly process driven.
To be successful you will have:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Previous experience using accounting software’s, ie MYOB.
- Be highly organised with great attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, use initiative and model resilience.
- Previous experience in the not-for-profit sector advantages although not essential.
