We are seeking a Finance Support Officer to join our team.
This is a part-time position, working 3 days per week, based in our Collingwood office (free on-site parking available).
Stanmore Ceramics work on commercial construction projects across Melbourne (including regional sites). We are a ceramic tiling and stone subcontractor, working for a range of Tier 1, 2 and 3 builders. Great opportunity to join a busy and dynamic company.
The purpose of this newly created role is to provide Finance Support for works relating to tiling and stone commercial projects. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Support Officer will assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable duties.
Duties are varied and will include:
- Preparing and reconciling creditors
- Payment of invoices and accounts
- Preparation of cheques
- Payment of monthly compliances
- Data entry
- Responding to emails and phone calls in accounts
We are looking for someone who:
- Has previous experience working in a similar role
- Has solid knowledge across general accounting principles
- Has previous experience with MYOB and in particular, Excel
- Has strong business acumen and excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Has strong PC skills across the Microsoft suite of products (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc)
- Working in the Construction industry is not mandatory, but would be a bonus. If not, then an interest to work in the Construction industry is a must
- Is happy to work in a role based in our office in Collingwood
- Has exceptional organisational skills, multi-tasking skills and high attention to detail and accuracy
- Be self-motivated, reliable, trustworthy, proactive and adaptable as well as having a strong sense of confidentiality
