About the Role:
As a Financial Accountant, you will play a crucial role in our monthly closing process, asset management, taxation, treasury and cash management, and P2P process management. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical knowledge, SAP transactional experience, and a proactive mindset to contribute to our financial operations.
Main Responsibilities:
Monthly Closing:
- Prepare and post journals, including calculations, and facilitate meetings with stakeholders.
- Run cycles and investigate variances in cost centre allocation.
- Run PM Closure, Industrial cycle, and Material Ledger processes.
- Assist in preparing monthly Inter Company Reconciliation reporting and resolving any variances.
Asset Management:
- Assist in a comprehensive Asset Register project, including review and management of asset register.
- Participate in the review of asset procedures to ensure compliance with Group policy.
- Conduct meetings with stakeholders to resolve asset management responsibilities.
Taxation:
- Perform FBT activities, such as preparing worksheets, gathering information, liaising with third parties (including KPMG), analysing and resolving variances, final calculation, and reporting reportable benefits.
- Assist in improving FBT recordkeeping in accordance with ATO guidelines.
Treasury & Cash Management:
- Assist in managing treasury operations during leave cover, including bank clearing, bank transaction posting, and cashflow forecasting.
P2P Process Management (Leave Cover):
- Monitor service provider adherence to PTP procedures.
- Manage payment runs.
Ad-hoc:
- Provide interdepartmental support as required.
- Assist with project work as needed.
- Check and validate expenses.
