The Role - 12 month ML Contract
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant plays a pivotal role in managing and overseeing all financial accounting functions within RSEA Safety.
This critical role will be entrusted with ensuring the accuracy, integrity and compliance of financial data and processes, and is instrumental in driving improvements that enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Operating within the established procedures and regulatory frameworks, the Financial Accountant directly influences the organisation’s financial health and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyse financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather financial data and insights.
- Assist with ad-hoc financial projects and initiatives as required.
Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- University Degree majoring in business, commerce, or accounting
- CA/CPA qualified or in progress.
- Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with advanced Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven track record of multitasking effectively in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
Functional/ Technical Skills
- Ability to prepare financial statements and conduct financial analysis.
- Energetic, keen to learn and a desire to grow in the role.
- Appreciates cultural diversity and is honest, reliable and punctual.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes and tax regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
