The Opportunity
Transgrid connects power generators to over 3 million homes in businesses in NSW and the ACT. We at the forefront of the clean energy transition, as we connect new solar and wind farms to the network to power these homes and businesses.
We are looking for a bright spark to join our high caliber finance team. With a keen eye for detail, a can-do attitude and knowledge of financial reporting, the Financial Accountant will form a key pillar of our financial reporting team.
The successful candidate will work closely with a variety of stakeholders, including treasury, payroll and broader corporate finance, helping resolve accounting questions and deliver high quality financial outcomes. Our year end and half year reporting will also see this role have key input into and responsibility for preparing aspects of our financial reports. Having recently introduced a new ERP (Oracle), this role will also include aspects of process improvement and development.
This is a great and dynamic role and would ideally suit a first mover from a mid-tier or large chartered firms.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications at degree level in accounting or business, or in a related discipline; or equivalent relevant experience.
- Experience and knowledge of financial reporting (IFRS).
- Knowledge of the use of corporate financial systems such as Oracle, or an equivalent ERP system, to support business processes.
- Advanced Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong Stakeholder engagement skills to develop strong internal and external successful partnerships.
- Demonstrated time management skills including the ability to manage competing priorities to achieve deadlines and desired outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and remotely, be highly organised and self-motivated.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enable engagement with people at all levels to understand stakeholder requirements and achieve business outcomes.
