The Role
Reporting directly to the Finance Manager this is a fantastic chance to help drive and build out our finance team. If you have three years’ relevant experience, including a comprehensive understanding of XERO, then this could be the role you’re looking for. Key attributes
- Manage the preparation of monthly financials.
- Assist in the monthly close process and maintenance of accounting ledgers including monthly review of all account reconciliations, journal entries and backups
- Monthly and quarterly variances analysis and other reporting
- Maintain internal control integrity, documentation, and compliance
- Monitor and ensure timely identification and compliance with evolving accounting obligations.
- Contribute to the implementation of new finance processes as the business grows.
- Manage the Group audit and related requests.
- Manage Group tax and other compliance obligations.
- Assisting to creation of Group and related entities budget and quarterly reforecasts
- Handle customer deposits, withdrawals, and other administrative tasks while engaging with the compliance team.
- Handle Accounts Payable and Account Receivable including follow up on overdue payments.
- Payroll processing includes the setup of new employees to ensure seamless integration into the payment system.
- Preparation of BAS, IAS, Payroll Tax and superannuation
- GL reconciliations of Balance Sheet Accounts (Loans Liabilities & Intercompany Accounts)
- Preparing weekly cash flow statements
To be considered you must:
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in Xero and the MS Office Suite
- Deep understanding of general accounting principles and IFRSs
- Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in financial accounting or a related position
- Be a qualified CA/CPA or in the final stages of qualification
- Display effective communication skills with individuals at all organizational levels and across various departments
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in cross-referencing
- Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Exhibit a proactive work ethic and a strong sense of responsibility
- Possess exceptional time management skills
