About the role:

This role would be ideal for a professional looking to blend family and a career in a Financial Controller role, with new opportunities as the business grows.
We are seeking to recruit an experienced Financial Controller to manage the senior financial affairs for Feed Central and the group of associated companies and activities.
Working directly with the Founder / Managing Director, this position works alongside the Feed Central logistics / operations and sales teams, supporting them in the financial and risk management of large contract execution, debtor control, debtor insurance and credit limit management. The role also works along side our key group managers, especially in relation to risk management, insurance, project feasibility, budgeting, EOM / EOFY reporting, cashflow forecasting, strategy / prioritisation and bank financing. The position is well supported by an experienced, highly capable support team and a highly functional management team.
The opportunity to excel in this role is aided by the Feed Central's recent adoption of Fathom for financial analysis, reporting, budgeting and forecasting.

- Ability to gain a solid understanding of the regulatory, and contractual requirements affecting this area of the business.
- Ability to constructively determine viability of new systems, projects and services and to be an active team member and facilitator in the implementation of such initiatives.
- High level Excel skills
- Experience using Fathom for consolidated group reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
- Experience using Xero or similar accounting software.
Day-To-Day Tasks & Responsibilities
- Positive contribution to our supportive and high performing team.
- Timely End of Month and End of Year functions for Feed Central and group activities.
- Debtor control.
- Monitoring complex contracts and working with our sales and operations teams to ensure debtor limits, contractual risks and debtor insurance are managed within guidelines.
- Timely P and L, Balance sheet and budget processes completed, including 3-way forecasts.
- Data management and processing to assist your team during peak work periods and as operations require.
- Regular review of finance facilities and reporting to the bank.
- Business analysis and interpretation for and with the management team.
- Feasibility analysis and scenario planning around new projects and asset acquisitions.
