We are currently seeking the services of a FINANCIAL CONTROLLER
About you:
The person who joins our ELT (Executive Leadership Team) will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing our financial operations. They would need to provide financial reports, improve on our current accounting systems and be able to make recommendations to management on how we could improve our operations with purpose-built budgets, cashflow and other processes. They will need to ensure that the company continues to strictly adhere to all government rules. As they will be managing staff, (3 people) mentoring and developing their staff in their positions would be an essential part of this role.
Requirements for this role:
- Overseeing of the AP, AR and Payroll functions.
- Providing various financial reports to the ELT and others for the decision-making process.
- Assisting in the implementation of an inventory system.
- Managing and renewing the company’s documents, insurances, licenses, etc.
- Managing the day-to-day accounting for the company.
- Planning, analysing and distributing insightful data and making recommendations to the ELT.
- Identifying opportunities via a reporting structure on how the company can work more efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring compliance with governments and other regulatory bodies.
- Preparing Budgets, P&L, Balance Sheet etc.
Essential to this role:
- Ideally 10+ years of proven experience.
- Working for a mid-sized company experiencing high growth in their business operations will be highly regarded.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to liaise with senior management, the board, and external stakeholders.
- Strong organisational and communication (both written and oral) skills.
- High attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel a must.
