About the Role:
Reporting to the Director & Foreman, this role works in the maintenance & production team - plastics molding / injection manufacturing.
You will have a proactive approach to maintenance, mechanical aptitude & interest and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems.
Primary Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Overhaul/Rebuild assembly machines components to their specifications.
- Machine and/or mill precision parts to specifications
- Help to implement & test equipment modifications or maintenance.
- Maintenance & rebuilding tasks to machines & equipment for efficiency & reliability
- CAD drawing design (highly regarded)
- Contribute to improved production ideas or activities.
- Complete scheduled work but be flexible in responding to breakdowns so production continues if possible.
- Operate with a safety-first mindset – personally and within the workplace.
- Practice all safety procedures, regulations and standards.
- Experience with injection molding and tool die modification (highly regarded)
Essential Criteria
- Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate (minimum)
- Proven problem solving and decision-making abilities.
- Flexibility to provide coverage across multiple production roles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands on experience within a manufacturing facility &/or rebuild workshop environment.
- Forklift License (highly desired)
