The role
2 x Permanent Full Time positions available. Roster: 8/6, or 7/7.
We are currently looking for x 2 Fleet Allocator to support our operations in Gladstone QLD. The overall purpose of this position is to assist with managing the fleet of Toll Mining Service’s drivers and sub-contractor drivers, so that all freight (road; rail) is delivered on time and as per customer’s requirements.
With a strong focus on rail freight, this position has an exceptionally strong focus on safety. Transporting primarily dangerous goods, this key position based in Gladstone is required to ensure all outcomes are achieved on a daily basis; including fleet utilisation, customer relations and profitability are in line with Toll’s contractual obligations.
Roster: 8/6, or 7/7.
Your remit includes:
Coordination & allocation of local and regional deliveries
Arrange bookings for container movements via rail, and coordinate delivery of containers to/from the rail
Ensure communication of any issues regarding deliveries (or pickups) direct to customer CSR’s in advance, to allow for alternative arrangements to be made.
Ensure all drivers are complying with current State and National regulations and are provided with accurate information.
Ensure Jobs and Manifests are raised in the Toll works for all Jobs.
Assist in planning fleet labour in conjunction with the Senior Allocator.
Ensure Safe Driving Plans are available for all long distance loads in accordance with Toll’s policy.
Skills Essential to the Job:
- Prior experience in a similar role essential
Ability to calmly work under pressure in a dynamic environment * Microsoft office suite expertise including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
