BGC Transport is a proudly Western Australian owned, industry leading business based in Hazelmere. This newly created position of Fleet Maintenance Planner will be responsible for forecasting, scheduling, planning, monitoring, and reporting of repairs and maintenance for major fleet. The position will work closing with the Workshop Manager to optimise productivity and efficiency in the maintenance of feel, plant and equipment while ensuring compliance.
Tasks in your role will include:
- Development, implementation, coordination and maintenance of a comprehensive maintenance and servicing plan
- Forecast and develop long and short-term projections of Fleet Maintenance requirements.
- Development and implementation of a plan to achieve maintenance and repair objectives for the fleet that utilizes resources and facilities in an effective and efficient manner.
- Extensive use of planning and scheduling tools such as maintenance management systems, historical records, office automation software, etc. is required, and employees in this class provide coordinative integration between maintenance Engineering, materials management, facilities managers and supervisors and others to facilitate the implementation of maintenance plans.
If you have the following skills and experience, we'd like to hear from you:
- Previous maintenance planning, scheduling, or production control experience.
- Considerable knowledge of all aspects of a large and diversified municipal fleet of vehicle and equipment maintenance including the involved trades and sub-trades.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Highly developed computer skills, particularly MS Office suite.
- Experience with scheduling software, preferably MEX, will be highly regarded.
- A high level of written and verbal communication skills.
- An ability to think laterally and problem solve.
