Boeing Defence Australia's Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Program is responsible for the development and support of the Australian Navy and Army Joint Helicopter School, featuring brand new aircraft and a suite of synthetic training devices.
Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a Flight Line Maintenance Coordinator to join the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Program. In this role you will be responsible for co-ordination of EC135 pre and post flight activities. The successful candidate will ideally possess knowledge and understanding of Defence's rotary wing environmental structure and capability, and have experience overseeing and leading technical teams across the business.
This role will be based at Swartz Barracks, Oakey, with initial training being conducted from HMAS Albatross, Nowra.

As a Flight Line Maintenance Coordinatoryou will:
- Monitor HATS flying program and allocating aircraft to sorties, ensuring that assigned aircraft are correctly prepared, configured, equipped and replenished;
- Manage the flying aircraft by, coordinating the aircraft replenishment and maintenance, in support of the flying program;
- Coordinate the flying aircraft's transfer back to maintenance at the completion of daily flying. Ensuring aircraft are prepared for the next week's flying program;
- Attend daily maintenance operational planning meeting and setting priorities of the daily maintenance requirements;
- Ensure all line maintenance requirements are pushed in the aircraft maintenance management system;
- Dispatch aircraft post maintenance release has been issued;
- Provide technical assistance to aircrew in relation to aircraft acceptance and release;
- Coordinate MTF activities;
- Manage aircraft Rate of Effort (ROE) to ensure aircraft meet their respective maintenance plans;
- Monitor the flight line for safe operations during fueling and flying operations;
- Invoke the Emergency Response Plan as required;
- Coordinate and assistance of aircraft movements.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Previous experience in maintenance co-ordination or similar role with aviation experience an advantage;
- Previous experience working with maintenance management systems also an advantage;
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills;
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high tempo operating environment;
- High level of computer literacy;
- Experience working in a safety critical environment.
