We’re looking for a passionate, energetic, creative, and experienced Food and Beverage Manager, to successfully lead our multiple Food and Beverage outlets. Mingara Recreation Club has a number of bar and dining options that are each unique in their offering including, Wellness Café a fast and convenient café for our active, on-the-go customers; the Roasted Berry Café which provides a home-style, rustic, all-day café experience, equipped with onsite bakery; Hadley’s restaurant and bar, the heart and soul of Mingara providing delicious meals in a relaxed setting; and Legends Taphouse which offers sport, beer and food on tap. Together with the largest and most versatile events centre on the Central Coast, when it comes to Food and Beverage offerings, we really do have it all.
A Great Opportunity
This is a truly diverse role managing our catering and Beverage outlets including:
- Providing leadership to a team of 100, with the support of outlet Leaders. This includes coaching and developing our team as they pursue their hospitality careers, recruitment, training, determining resourcing requirements, managing performance and being a role model for our constructive culture by imbedding our values every step of the way
- Coach and mentor outlet leaders in their leadership of the team, and their accountability and profitability of their outlet
- Develop and execute the Food and Beverage business plan in collaboration with other key stakeholders in the organisation
- Ensure we are delivering a great customer experience in each outlet through team presentation, service style, quality of product and presentation of the outlet
- Managing wage, Food and Beverage costs in line with budgets and developing strategies to stimulate revenue growth across all outlets
- Together with the outlet leaders, Head Chefs and marketing team, manage a seasonal menu review for each outlet from design and costing, to implementation
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislations such as food safety and liquor licensing conditions
What success looks like
This role is fast-paced and dynamic, extensive experience in a similar role in a large multi-outlet environment is a must.
To succeed in this role you will:
- Be a values-based leader with extensive experience in developing large, high performing team
- Have demonstrated financial acumen with extensive experience managing budgets, P&L management specific to Food and Beverage outlets, and the ability to implement successful Food and Beverage operating models
- Have a passion for Food and Beverage. You are fully across the latest trends, love getting creative, and you know the local market
- Be confident in connecting and negotiating with suppliers to ensure the most up to date product offerings and contracted pricing
- Be an excellent communicator with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders across operation including with our customers
