KEY LEADERSHIP OPPORTUNITY
We’re on the lookout for a hands-on General Manager Portfolio (GMP) to join and lead our University of Sydney operations team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a key leadership role, responsible for overseeing total property and business management across multiple properties within a portfolio. The GMP will work with the operations teams to strategically drive operational success of each property.
WHO YOU ARE
Our preferred candidate will have demonstrated experience in the student accommodation field, or similar, and shall exhibit solid commercial acumen. You will be an experienced senior operations manager who is driven and willing to provide support, advice, and mentorship to your team, to set the highest of standards in all operational aspects. As the GMP, you will possess high-level emotional intelligence, and will have the ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with your stakeholder groups. To achieve this, excellent interpersonal skills are fundamental; as well as your ability to communicate and disseminate information while protecting privacy and confidentiality. Proven strategic thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills are also vital to your success in the role.
Your leadership skills will help to support the growth and ongoing development of your team, and will empower them to provide a safe, secure, and healthy living environment for all residents.
Key responsibilities for this role will include, but not be limited to:
- Develop and lead a high performing team,
- Maintain a current working knowledge of all relevant management agreements; and exercise your ability to lead and manage the properties in accordance with those agreements,
- Establish and maintain constructive and productive working relationships with all key stakeholders, including universities and key contractors,
- Manage and exceed the financial performance of the portfolio as outlined in annual budgets,
- Ensure cleanliness, presentation, fit-out and the standard of equipment is maintained across the region,
- Ensure compliance with all agreements, regulations and legislation applicable to each operation.
- National Police Check (completed within last 3 months)
