Our client Club Kirrawee is located in the Sutherland Shire of Sydney NSW, with a strong connection to the community through its promotion of lawn bowls and sport throughout the district.
Club Kirrawee is a ‘friendly club’, has over 1500 members, 12 employees, 20 gaming machines, contract caterers, TAB, Keno, and three bowling greens.
The Board of Directors seek a strong motivator of staff to take on a challenging role in leading, guiding and developing all customer service employees to ensure an efficient operation in conjunction with high levels of customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
This position would ideally suit a person with a sound background in Club Management who is looking to be a hands on leader to secure the future of this club.
You will thrive in a busy, diverse environment and have an enthusiasm for the hospitality industry with a passion for exceptional customer service and community engagement.
Knowledge in Finance, Gaming, Human Resources, Food and Beverage, Regulatory Compliance, Facilities Management and Customer Service is a requirement for this position. Equally important will be a need to engage with the community as a core objective in the spirit of the Registered Club movement.
Responsibilities of the position include:
- Roles and responsibilities as Company Secretary pursuant to the Australian Corporations Act;
- Roles and responsibilities of Club Secretary pursuant to the NSW Registered Clubs Act;
- Roles and responsibilities of Licensee pursuant to the NSW Liquor Act;
- Management of compliance with club’s constitution;
- Ensuring the club meets financial budgets and driving efficiencies;
- Responsible for the General Management of the club;
- Management of club facilities;
- Develop and initiate ideas to improve business performance;
- Ensure compliance with the Clubs statutory requirements;
- To monitor and performance manage staff ensuring service excellence is maintained.
Candidate Prerequisites:
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in similar role;
- Sound financial knowledge;
- Sound knowledge of hospitality operations;
- Sound knowledge of accounting systems;
- Experience in rostering;
- Experience in stock control;
- Previous experience managing hospitality teams;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
- Ability to forecast and work within pre-determined operating budgets;
- Accreditation in Responsible Service of Alcohol and Responsible Conduct of Gaming within NSW jurisdiction;
- National Police Check;
- Understanding of laws as they relate to the organisation, including AML/CTF laws, Industrial Relations laws and Work Health and Safety laws a distinct advantage;
- Management experience in a Gaming, Hospitality or similar role essential.
