Form of workWe are currently seeking a Full Time Graduate Accountant for Reef Casino Trust, owner of The Reef Hotel Casino, the pre-eminent centre for gaming, entertainment, food and accommodation in Cairns.
An exciting opportunity for a recent Accounting / Business Graduate who is ready to kickstart or further develop their finance career.
Key Responsibilities
✓ Assisting in the accounting for the ASX listed Reef Casino Trust and other related companies.
✓ Maintaining a detailed fixed asset register.
✓ Completing bank reconciliations and preparing creditor payments.
✓ Assisting in half-yearly and yearly financial statements, income tax, BAS, and FBT returns.
✓ Liaising with auditors, share registry, and bankers as required.
✓ Assisting the Corporate Accountant and Executive Manager of Finance.
Criteria
✓ Recently graduated or nearing completion of an Accounting or Business Degree.
✓ Previous experience using accounting and spreadsheet software such as Excel.
✓ Good understanding of Australian Accounting Standards.
✓ The ability to work under supervision and maintain confidentiality.
✓ An eye for detail, competent computer skills, and the ability to quickly learn new skills and tasks.
